How It Works
Simply enter your date of birth, choose your preferred time period, and let our system interpret the alignment of the stars and planets for you. Discover what the universe has planned for your love life, career, and personal growth.
How Your Reading Is Computed
Every horoscope on My Astro 365 starts with astronomy, not with a random text generator. When you enter your date of birth, we compute the actual positions of the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn for that date using a classical orbital-element method (Paul Schlyter's algorithm, a standard reference in amateur astronomy). The result is accurate to a fraction of a degree — far more precision than the 30-degree sign segments astrology works with — and it runs on our own servers, with no third-party chart service involved.
We are equally honest about what a birth date alone cannot give you. Houses, the Ascendant and exact Moon degrees all depend on the time and place of birth, so our free readings never claim them. Positions are computed for noon universal time on your birth date. That puts the Sun and each planet in the right sign on all but a few days a year — the days a body changes sign, when only the time of birth can decide. The Moon moves about 13 degrees a day and changes sign every two to three days, so we treat the Moon sign as approximate. What you get is a real, sign-level chart: your Sun sign and the sign placements of the visible planets.
The interpretation itself is written by an AI language model (Google Gemini) — and this is the part most horoscope sites won't tell you. The model does not invent your chart: it receives the computed placements plus the current transits for the day, and it is instructed to ground every sentence in them and never contradict the astronomy. The words are written for your birth date and the current sky — readers who share your birthday see the same reading for the same day, week or month — while the sky behind them is calculated, not invented. How we work on published content is documented on our editorial process page — AI-assisted, human-reviewed.
Astrology, for us, is a language for reflection — a structured way to ask better questions about your own day — not a scientific instrument and not a substitute for medical, financial or legal advice. Take what is useful, leave what is not, and enjoy the sky.
The Twelve Signs at a Glance
Twelve signs, four elements, three modalities. The dates below are approximate — the Sun changes sign on a slightly different day each year — so for a birthday near a boundary our reading works the sign out from your actual date rather than from this table. If you were born on the very day the Sun changed sign, only the birth time can settle it.
Aries (about Mar 21 – Apr 19) — Cardinal Fire. The zodiac's starter motor: direct, fast, brave. Aries initiates; its lesson is finishing what it starts and letting patience catch up with courage.
Taurus (about Apr 20 – May 20) — Fixed Earth: steady, sensual, loyal to comfort and routine. Taurus builds slowly and keeps what it builds; stubbornness is the shadow of its reliability.
Gemini (about May 21 – Jun 20) — Mutable Air: curious, verbal, quick to connect people and ideas. Gemini collects perspectives; its challenge is depth — choosing one thread and following it.
Cancer (about Jun 21 – Jul 22) — Cardinal Water: protective, intuitive, memory-rich. Cancer leads with care and reads a room instantly; boundaries keep its sensitivity a gift instead of a weight.
Leo (about Jul 23 – Aug 22) — Fixed Fire: warm, expressive, loyal. Leo wants to be seen for real effort — generous when appreciated, and learning that applause is fuel, not oxygen.
Virgo (about Aug 23 – Sep 22) — Mutable Earth: precise, useful, quietly devoted. Virgo improves whatever it touches; the growth edge is accepting good-enough when perfect costs too much.
Libra (about Sep 23 – Oct 22) — Cardinal Air: relational, aesthetic, fairness-minded. Libra weighs every side — great counsel, slow decisions — and grows by choosing even when both options are imperfect.
Scorpio (about Oct 23 – Nov 21) — Fixed Water: intense, private, at home with transformation. Scorpio commits completely or not at all; trust is its currency and honesty its non-negotiable.
Sagittarius (about Nov 22 – Dec 21) — Mutable Fire: candid, restless, hungry for meaning. Sagittarius needs a horizon — travel, study or a big question — and learns tact the long way.
Capricorn (about Dec 22 – Jan 19) — Cardinal Earth: strategic, patient, quietly ambitious. Capricorn plays the long game and keeps its promises; rest is a discipline it must schedule like work.
Aquarius (about Jan 20 – Feb 18) — Fixed Air: independent, principled, future-leaning. Aquarius thinks in systems; warmth grows when it lets people be as interesting as ideas.
Pisces (about Feb 19 – Mar 20) — Mutable Water: imaginative, porous, compassionate. Pisces feels the tide before others notice the water moved; structure and rest protect its creative depth.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is my horoscope really personalized?
Yes. Your reading is generated from the actual planetary positions for your exact date of birth — not recycled text for one of twelve sign buckets. Two people with different birth dates get genuinely different charts and readings.
Do I need to know my birth time?
No. Free readings are sign-level and work from the date alone. A birth time only becomes necessary for houses and the Ascendant — that is a separate, deeper analysis, our birth-time rectification report.
Which planets do you use?
Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn for your birth chart, plus the current transits of all major bodies on the day of your reading.
Where does the astronomical data come from?
We compute it ourselves with a classical orbital-element method accurate to a fraction of a degree — no third-party chart API. The same code powers every reading on the site.
Can I check someone else's horoscope?
Yes — any birth date works, which is how our celebrity and partner pages are built. For a relationship reading, the partner horoscope compares two charts sign by sign.
Is astrology scientifically proven?
No, and we will not pretend otherwise. The astronomy we compute is real; the interpretation is a reflective tradition, offered for insight and entertainment — not medical, financial or legal advice.
